A resource site for Australians suffering the Intersex condition of Transsexualism

What's New!

This website is an information and support site for people experiencing the Intersex condition of Transsexualism, and/or for their friends, families and work colleagues to be educated about this medical condition.

This is NOT a website for Transgender people such as Transvestites and Cross-dressers. Some countries tend to use the umbrella term "Transgender" to incorrectly describe people suffering Transsexualism as also being Transgender. Transsexualism is a physiological (biological) condition and should not be placed under the same category as psychological (mental) conditions.

This website has been designed to help you understand, help treat the condition of Transsexualism.   We recommend that you follow a system of care similar to the Harry Benjamin Standards of Care Guidelines, in that you don't take short-cuts, don't self-medicate, etc.

This site has a collection of information that can often be found elsewhere on the World Wide Web, though some has been created here from personal experience. It has been brought together into one place for easy reading to help you recognise, treat and make your life easier through this difficult time.

Transsexualism effects not only people born into a physically male body (Male to Female), but those also born into female bodies (Female to Male), though not as common (about 1 in 4)... they still exist. This website will try to include as much information that relates to them as I can manage, but as most of the information so far has been sought for the personal transition of myself (Male to Female) it is skewed in that direction. In my links section, I have a link to FTM Australia for those (female to Male) men who need assistance.

Disclaimer: The information and links in this website have not been scrutinised completely, and may offer incorrect advice. We offer no guarantee that the information is accurate or correct for your situation.
